Minnesota Twins starter Simeon Woods Richardson has emerged as a strong arm at a young age. The 23-year-old right-hander is 3-1 with a 3.48 ERA and 1.10 WHIP across 15 starts and 77 2/3 innings this year.
Woods Richardson has allowed four hits or fewer in five straight starts and nine of his last 10 outings. In fact, the right-hander has coughed up more than four hits in just four of 15 starts this season, and two of those outings came back in April.
Tonight, the Minnesota hurler will now face a San Francisco Giants team that doesn’t boast too many offensive threats.
The Twins are turning to a 23-year-old starter to get back on track before the All-Star break, and I’m expecting him to come through for them.
