DraftKings NBA Pick6 fantasy basketball lineup for December 29
Jalen Suggs P21.5 Points: MORE
With Paolo Banchero, Franz Wagner, and Mo Wagner all injured, Jalen Suggs has received a much bigger workload for the Orlando Magic, who are trying to stay afloat without three key players. Suggs has done a nice job though, especially as of late.
He’s scored more than 21.5 points in back-to-back appearances, scoring 27 against the Knicks and 29 against the Heat. He’s dropped more than tonight’s total in five of his last eight appearances. While he only scored 12 points apiece in his previous two appearances vs. Brooklyn, I have confidence in Suggs to continue his recent hot streak here.
Victor Wembanyama 24.5 Points: LESS
Yes, I’m expecting Victor Wembanyama to have a slow night here. Despite his recent hot streak, including a 42-point performance against the Knicks on Christmas, Wemby hasn't played well against the Timberwolves in his young career.
He’s been held to less than 24.5 points in two appearances against them and has averaged just over 22 ppg vs. Western Conference teams in 2024-25.
Chris Paul 7.5 Assists: MORE
Chris Paul is still dropping dimes on a nightly basis. CP3 is averaging 8.2 assists per night and has dished out more than 7.5 in four of his last six appearances.
Paul also registered more than 7.5 assists in both meetings with the Timberwolves this season.
Cam Thomas 19.5 Points: LESS
I know what you’re thinking... Cam Thomas is a walking bucket. How could he not surpass 20 points? Well, the guard has missed 13 games in a row with a hamstring injury and is expected to make his return tonight against the Magic.
However, Thomas will definitely be on a minute restriction because the Brooklyn Nets cannot risk losing him to another injury. This is exactly why I expect Thomas to score less than 19.5. He won’t play heavy minutes and will be simply focused on just getting his feet underneath him again.
Nic Claxton 8.5 Rebounds: LESS
Nic Claxton is a very solid rebounder and an important player for Brooklyn overall. He leads the team with 7.5 boards per game, but he has grabbed less than 8.5 rebounds in five of his last seven appearances.
Plus, Claxton failed to grab more than seven boards in two appearances against the Magic earlier this season.
Julius Randle 19.5 Points: MORE
Julius Randle is slowly finding his footing with the Minnesota Timberwolves, who acquired him in the Karl-Anthony Towns trade with the Knicks.
Randle is averaging 20.4 points, and I expect a big night from him offensively against the Spurs. The veteran just scored more than 19.5 points in back-to-back games and has averaged a sliver more points at home.
