My best bet
Kyrie Irving Over 24.5 points (-135 at bet365)
My analysis
Kyrie Irving is having a solid campaign for the 8-7 Dallas Mavericks. He’s averaging 24.3 points, 5.2 assists, and 4.4 rebounds on 53.8% shooting from 3-point land. While Kyrie has actually hit the Under in points in four straight appearances, there’s reason to believe things will be different here.
Doncic is on the shelf with a wrist injury, meaning Irving will be the main man offensively. Luka averages 28.1 ppg, which is a lot of points to make up for.
Kyrie happened to show out against the Nuggets earlier this month, too. The veteran erupted for 43 points in just 35 minutes of action. Yes, he may not be performing at a super high level on a nightly basis right now, but who else is going to take the bull by the horns in this Dallas offense?
It has to be Irving. Strictly due to Luka’s absence, this bet is worth a shot tonight.

The Mavericks have won three in a row, but Klay Thompson hasn’t been playing his best basketball lately.
Klay’s shooting is inconsistent over the last handful of contests and he also scored a mere 10 points against Denver on November 10. Although Dallas is going to expect more out of Thompson with Doncic on the bench, I don’t see value in the Over. Whether it’s a cold shooting night or the Nuggets defend him well, Klay won’t do a lot offensively.
Denver could potentially be without Jokic tonight due to personal reasons. He’s missed the last three games. Michael Malone’s squad bounced back from two straight losses sans The Joker with a victory over the Grizzlies on Tuesday and should keep it rolling here.
The Nuggets have won four of the last five meetings with Dallas and do play better at home this season, going 5-2 as opposed to 3-3 on the road. With both squads potentially missing their superstars, I’m banking on Denver continuing their hot streak.
