Chiefs vs Bills TD Props: The Kareem Team

There will be no shortage of offensive firepower on Sunday when the Chiefs face the Bills in Buffalo, but our own Neil Parker sees plenty of value in the running backs to find the end zone.

This week’s Kansas City Chiefs vs. Buffalo Bills contest is the marquee matchup in the afternoon slate, serving as a true AFC measuring stick and showcasing two MVP-caliber quarterbacks.

The two Super Bowl contenders have faced off seven times during the Patrick Mahomes-Josh Allen era, delivering no shortage of offensive fireworks.

With plenty of offensive firepower on both sides, my Chiefs vs Bills anytime touchdown picks back a pair of running backs to find paydirt on Sunday, November 17.

Kansas City Chiefs running back Kareem Hunt has been the go-to rusher the past five games and found the end zone in four of those five with five total scores. Hunt has also racked up 28 red-zone carries with 13 inside the five-yard line while also garnering six red-zone targets with one look inside the five during the stretch.

Additionally, I also value Hunt’s spike in the passing game last week because while the Buffalo Bills have only allowed five rushing scores all season, they’ve surrendered five through the air to opposing running backs. He also scored 25 times across just 17 games in his first tenure with the Chiefs during the 2017 and 2018 seasons.

Before keeping the Indianapolis Colts backfield out of the end zone last week, Buffalo had allowed a rushing touchdown in consecutive games, too.

The Buffalo Bills might have wide receiver Amari Cooper (wrist) back in the lineup, but tight end Dalton Kinkaid (knee) and wideout Keon Coleman (wrist) have already been ruled out. It leaves the Buffalo passing attack undermanned, and running back James Cook has been a touchdown machine in his third season.

Cook has found the end zone in six of nine games with eight rushing scores and a receiving touchdown. He’s pacing the Buffalo backfield in snap percentage (49%) and red-zone rushes (29), and he’s also converted 42.9% of his carries inside the 10-yard line into scores.

I also value Cook breaking off long runs of late with 11 rushes for 10 or more yards the past five games, and 21 of those 29 red-zone carries have come during the run.

Make no mistake, the Chiefs send out an elite run-stop unit, but Cook’s heavily involved, and the Bills also rank third in PFF run block grade.
