Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow has come alive in the last two weeks with a total of nine touchdowns, but he’ll face a tough test on Sunday Night Football against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Burrow had 15 touchdowns -- including another five-TD game -- in his first eight contests this season before going off for five against the Raiders and four against the Ravens last week.

My best bet
Joe Burrow Over 1.5 touchdown passes (-145 at bet365)

My analysis
Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow is on a tear right now, with nine touchdowns in his last two games. This came after being held to just three touchdowns in the previous three weeks.

While last week’s effort came against Baltimore’s league-worst defense in terms of passing touchdowns allowed, the Raiders sit more toward the middle of the pack. However, the Los Angeles Chargers rank in the top ten with an average of just one passing touchdown allowed per game.

Looking deeper into those numbers, you can see that the Chargers haven’t played against many great quarterbacks this season. Patrick Mahomes is the only big-name QB that the Chargers have held to one touchdown, and the Chiefs quarterback isn’t exactly having the best season.

Besides that, Los Angeles has had the pleasure of defending against Gardner Minshew, Bryce Young, Justin Fields, Bo Nix, Kyler Murray, Jake Haener and Spencer Rattler, Jameis Winston, and Will Levis in its other games. And two of the names you recognize there, Nix and Levis, each had two passing touchdowns, including the Titans QB last week.

The Bengals are putting the ball in Burrow’s hands and he should stay hot here on Sunday Night Football with at least two passing touchdowns.

Joe Burrow SNF same-game parlay

Joe Burrow 2+ touchdown passes

Ja'Marr Chase anytime touchdown

Chase Brown anytime touchdown

Ja’Marr Chase was the recipient of three of Burrow’s four passing touchdowns last week to bring him to 10 total through 10 games on the season. He’s caught a touchdown in three of his last four games as well as six of his last eight contests.

Ja’Marr isn’t the only Chase in town, though, as running back Chase Brown has taken advantage of a larger workload in recent weeks. He’s scored in six of the last seven games, including in each of the last three contests.
