It’s a busy night on the ice with 10 games on the slate and plenty at stake as tight playoff races unfold in both the Eastern and Western Conferences.

Here are my top NHL player props for Thursday, March 27, headlined by a pair of plus-money NHL picks.

NHL player prop bets today

Best NHL player prop bets for March 27

Matt Boldy Under 0.5 points (+130 at bet365)

Minnesota Wild winger Matt Boldy has only found the scoresheet in six of his past 13 games, with four of those six coming against non-playoff teams. He’s posted a miserable 0.91 points per 60 minutes at five-on-five during the stretch, and he’s only been on the ice for 0.39 goals and 2.06 expected goals per 60.

Simply put, Minnesota isn’t generating consistent offensive chances with Boldy on the ice at 5-on-5, and this is a tough matchup. The Washington Capitals also sport a third-ranked 83.0 penalty-kill percentage and allow the third-fewest goals per game.

Tyler Toffoli Under 0.5 points (-105 at DraftKings)

The San Jose Sharks have only scored seven five-on-five goals and 13 total across their past six games, and veteran winger Tyler Toffoli has a single tally and assist during the slump. He’s missed the scoresheet in four of the six, including being on the ice for just 0.7 goals and 2.4 expected goals per 60 minutes at 5-on-5.

Toffoli is penciled in to play with Alexander Wennberg and Collin Graf, and the trio has just 19:25 of shared ice time at 5-on-5. As inconsistent as the Toronto Maple Leafs have been, they’ve still won 13 of 20 since the beginning of February, including four of the past five. At best, this is a neutral matchup for San Jose's offense.

Bobby McMann 3+ shots on goal (+155 at bet365)

Leafs winger Bobby McCann has totalled 14 shots and 24 attempts across his past five games, and he’s recorded three or more shots in three of the five. He’s set to skate with John Tavares and William Nylander, and the trio boasts a 55.6 Corsi For percentage and 63.5% shot share at five-on-five this season.

Of course, this is also a cushy matchup. The Sharks have allowed the second-most shots per game while ranking second last in both CF% and shot share at 5-on-5.
