Hey guys! A couple of my buds and I are looking to begin a fantasy sports super league combining the MLB, NFL, and NHL seasons. We are looking for serious players only. The entry fee will be $250 CAD with prize money being allocated to each sport, and the overall standings when the three sports' seasons are finished. Email drivetimepix@gmail.com for more info is this is something that may interest you. We are looking to start this with the 2019 baseball season.

Hey spot! I agree with most of your initial assessment on these teams. The defending champ Redblacks are very interesting to me. Yes they lost Hank, but I actually think that Trevor Harris is a better option at QB for them. Yes they lost Chris Williams and Ernest Jackson in the receiving game, but they added a 1000 yard receiver in Kenny Shaw and Diontae Spencer from Toronto. I also look for Juron Criner to be huge in their passing attack this season. Remember that they actually finished last season 8-9-1 and won a Grey Cup without Chris Williams around as well, so I don't know if they will be worse than last season. Anyways, best of luck this year buddy!

Thanks for starting this thread Indigo. Just curious. What exactly makes you think that the two teams that played in the grey cup last year will regress?

Gotta say brother, I am liking all of those plays! Southern Miss might be my favorite play in week one. I want to play North Texas, as SMU laying DD's on the road in their first game of the season with a trip to Baylor on deck is just silly. I just can't stomach a play on those guys. Don't know if you heard that Army's QB just left the team for personal reasons. I could see you going 5-0, 4-1 with those picks. Best of luck this season man!

Awesome thread man! I share your opinion about SDSU. Many believe Boise St. will get back on top in the Mountain West, but these Aztecs could very well go unbeaten when looking at their schedule. Good luck this year brother!

Sorry Spot. I wasn't done my thought. My finger slipped. Lol
I was saying that I was glad that you and a couple of other cappers who I respect cashed tonight. I just had a different way of lookong at this game. That is all there was to it. Personally, I believed it was a terrible spot for Winnipeg. Sure, maybe they were lucky a bit, but I can own making a terrible pick. This was a bad one, but I will move on. I try not to get too down after a loss. Conversely, I try not to get too high after a win simply because I know the nature of this beast. What I do know, however, is that I beat the closing line by 2 full points in this game. I do not worry too much about line moves, but I also believe that beating closing lines on a consistent basis is a recipe for success. Again, I appreciate you coming in here and expressing your words to me. Thamk you. At the end of the day we are all just guys putting our pocks on the internet. Some of us are jerks, some of us aren't. You my friend, are not! Good luck the rest of the way Spottie! |

I am sure you feel that way too. I just wanted to offer some kind words because I read all your threads and I know good things are going to happen to you. Its a matter of time. Thank you for your kind and encouraging words Spottie. You are a class act! Like I told you before, yes I would like to win money, but I like to have fun with gambling. I play within my means and have allocated funds (a bankroll) to play with. It doesn't effect my life in a negative manner. Well, maybe except for a little extra stress. As for the game itself, I didn't watch any of it because of the rain delay. Seems like Hamilton just stayed in the locker room. I am glad that you and a couple of other

BC at Montreal Not really going to get into detail here. I am not interested in a side in this game. BC's epic choke job in such an important game last week at Calgary will keep me away from them. It will be interesting to see if BC can pick itself up off the proverbial mat after that collapse. They will be laying points, and heading across the country to play in back to back roadies. Conversely, Montreal is coming off a blowout win over the Saskatchewan Roughriders last week, and they are playing their third football game in eleven days with the defending champs on deck. Not interested there either. However, when I look at this matchup, I see two solid and physical defenses, and I like how both of these teams put up over 40 points in their respective games last week. Could be giving some value to this total. What I like most about this situation for a play on the under is the teams' recent scheduling. BC is playing in their third consecutive road game. Yeah, they had a bye week thrown in there, but three consecutive trips to another team's stadium is still three consecutive trips to another team's stadium. This mixed in with their collapse last week and facing a tough Als defense, and I could the Lions very easily coming out flat in this game. As I mentioned above, the Als are playing in their third game in 11 days. I don't care what professional football league you are playing in, that's tough! This Alouettes offense feasted on a porous Riders defense last week that was in a very vulnerable spot after beating a previously undefeated team. I expect them to have a much tougher go of it against this solid Lions defense. I know the Lions surrendered a lot to the Stamps last week, but that could make them extra focused to bounce back this week against a much more feeble Als offensive attack. Also, the Als have struggled against the run this season, and the Lions rushing attack has been very good. Maybe the Lions will try to run the ball down the Als' throat and potentially eat a bunch of clock. All in all, this total is probably right where it should be. Like I stated above in this thread, I am not a totals guy in this league at all. These things being said, I really like the defenses, and scheduling situations enough to play the under here. I told myself before the lines were released that I would play anything north of 50. Turns out I landed right on that number. Play: BC/Montreal under 50 Risking: 1.06 units to win 1 unit
