Stats are a consequence of games.
Games are not a consequence of stats. Bet on the better team and you'll win.

I've added the brothers a few times recently with good success - usually adds 10 or 20% to your line....

The danger of playing the middle is that it will alert them to the fact that you are deliberately taking advantage of a mistake on their part.
A bit late I know but you'd have been better off middling with another book.

This price will probably do it. End of.

Some simple facts; the names don't matter.
Each team in NBA has a best player or two, followed by some also rans.
With the exception of OKL who have 4 or 5 stars, and each of Boston and Spurs who seem to be teams greater than the sum of their parts. So why do we expect the Heat to do so well? It's not like they are a Dream Team who can't gel. As I said they have 2 or 3 top players just like most other teams. The rest are average. I don't understand it. Is it the Heat's name? What? BTW I was fooled as well; lost all my $$$$ on them the last 2 games. |

He's having a nightmare. 3 hits, 2 walks, one wild pitch, all but one of these on two outs.
Under is toast as well....

It's not bad advice it is a way to create your own -1 line!
It is the same as betting $260 on Boston -1 when your book offers the line. If they lose the game you still lose $200. Same same! In his calculation the -1 line would be $260 to win $225. Check what the book would pay for the same wager; it'll be the same!

IS there anyone on this site who offers an argument to support their view or do you all just try to shout loudest?

If you are going to do anything then as stated above you can fade Cibulkova on Betfair; far better than betting everyone else to win it.

The problem you have is that NBA is a contradiction of a sport!
It is as hard-fought and physical as many other sports but very little physical contact is allowed. Find me another sport where there are so many decisions that materially affect the outcome of a game. In soccer there may be one or two big decisions. It's (generally) about the players. In NBA it seems to be ALL about the foul calls in ANY close game. Awful

Could not agree more re the travelling. I've only just started watching NBA having not followed the sport since playing at school. And I've been truly baffled by the travelling thing....

I was robbed - $20 on the under. Would have taken a push but 3 runs in the 9th including a totally meaningless single with 2 outs in the bottom....

Sloane Stephens is on fire and should win today - I like 2-0 sets at plus money.
Stosur probably worth throwing into a parlay And Errani +4 v Ivanovic, possibly even a little straight up. She is 19-2 on clay this year....

Your bookie has an error. Get on it quick. But beware.
Last time I did this I got Rockies + 1.5 at Pads for +145 rather than -145. They were losing 1-3 in the top of the ninth. They managed 3 hits in the 9th without scoring a run, including a one-out hit which would have scored a run except it hit the runner at first base!

I can't see how Hewitt is a pick em against a player much higher in the rankings and with a solid clay court season behind him

Hedging is only smart if you hedge on losses the same way you hedge on winners.
Otherwise you always win small and lose big....

Bet 2-0 sets not just to win the match. Most matches, particularly women's, are 2-0 results.
