Bo Nix Picks, Predictions & Best Bets for Monday Night Football Week 13

Farley's Prediction: Bo Nix is developing into a franchise QB right in front of our eyes, and he should have no issues carving up this Browns defense on Monday Night Football.

The Cleveland Browns travel to Colorado to take on the Denver Broncos at Empower Field on Monday Night Football.

With Denver in a battle for wild card positioning, they can ill afford to lose this very winnable game.

A big part of the Broncos' success will hinge on their quarterback, so join me as I break down the Bo Nix odds ahead of kick-off at 8:20 p.m. ET on Monday, December 2.

My analysis

When the Denver Broncos took Bo Nix 12th overall in this year’s draft there were a lot of people criticizing the pick. And when he got off to a sluggish start, the groans grew louder.

However, we’ve seen him develop and improve on what feels like a weekly basis. His first six games saw him throw five touchdown passes and in the six games since he’s upped that to 11. Not only that but he’s looking after the football more and has thrown just two interceptions since that opening fortnight of the season. He’s improved so quickly that the bookies have him only marginally behind Jayden Daniels as Offensive Rookie of the Year, and his Broncos team is now 7-5 and with legitimate playoff hopes.

Such has been his improvement that we’re not too wary of the Cleveland Browns’ defense on Monday Night Football because Nix has already shown that he is capable of attacking a variety of different defenses. With that in mind, we’re taking the Broncos’ QB to throw Over 1.5 passing touchdowns, available at plus money.

The Browns are averaging just under 1.5 passing touchdowns allowed per game. However, they’ve allowed two or more touchdown passes in five of their past six games, with Derek Carr, Justin Herbert, Lamar Jackson, Joe Burrow, and Jalen Hurts all achieving it.

A look at Nix’s record should further increase confidence that he’ll cover. He’s thrown two or more touchdown passes in four of his past five games and is on a hot streak with eight TD passes in his past three games.

This Browns’ defense isn’t what it was in previous years, they’re inconsistent and have given up big plays in recent weeks. There’s still a lot for Nix to improve on, and he’s far from the finished article, but we have a readily improving quarterback here, who is not only on a great run of form but also somebody who is being put in the best positions to succeed by the Broncos’ coaching staff. Nix should cover here and give us a juicy plus money payout.

Bo Nix MNF same-game parlay

Over 1.5 passing touchdowns

Over 220.5 passing yards

Sutton anytime touchdown

In addition to our best bet, we’re also going to back Bo Nix to have Over 220.5 Passing Yards. We’ve really seen him develop as a passer throughout the season and he should be able to have a productive day against a defense that is in the middle of the pack when it comes to passing yards allowed per game, an average of 214.4. Nix has had more than 220.5 passing yards in four of his past five games.

We’re also going to back Courtland Sutton to haul in one of Nix’s two or more touchdown passes. The Broncos wideout has been in good form scoring three in his past three games. He’s the main receiver on his team, with 18 red zone targets, only one less than all of the other WRs combined.
