The Jacksonville Jaguars are creeping back toward respectability as they've won two of their last three games, but they'll be jumping up the class ladder when they take on the Green Bay Packers in Florida on Sunday afternoon.
My Packers vs. Jaguars SGP picks believe the visitors will enjoy their Sunday in Everbank Stadium, particularly running back Josh Jacobs. I'll tell you the best way to bet on him and more in my NFL picks for October 27.
Packers vs Jaguars SGP for Week 8
Among my favorite Week 8 player props is Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs to reach 15+ receiving yards vs. the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Jacobs broke one of the stranger streaks in the NFL last week when he caught his first career receiving touchdown. He had gone over five seasons and 200 receptions without doing so. His touchdown prop is juiced a bit too far for my liking, but his receiving yards Over is very hittable.
Jacobs has racked up at least 15 receiving yards in four straight games for Green Bay. He's been targeted 15 times by Jordan Love in that sample, hauling in all but two of those passes.
I expect Jacobs to keep getting his number called in the flats, as the Jaguars defense is highly susceptible to running backs in the passing game, allowing an NFL-worst 57.4 yards per game to the position. The Packers are also nursing some injuries on the offensive line with Elgton Jenkins and Josh Myers both listed as questionable. Love may need to opt for the quick pass more often than he'd like on Sunday, meaning Jacobs could see a boost in usage as a receiver.
Let's also target the Under on the highest total in the Week 8 odds, mainly because of the Packers' defense.
Green Bay's stoppers rank sixth in yards allowed per play and first in takeaways. The Packers are doing this with a fearsome pass rush, as they rank second in hurried throws, seventh in sacks, and ninth in QB pressures despite blitzing at the seventh-lowest rate in football. They could make this a very long Sunday for Trevor Lawrence.
My Packers vs. Jaguars predictions come to a logical conclusion by backing the Packers to win this one outright.
