To no surprise, the Florida Panthers are one of hockey's hottest teams right now. The defending Stanley Cup Champions currently have a seven-game winning streak heading into tonight's game with the New Jersey Devils.

Find out why my Panthers vs. Devils predictions and NHL picks favor the home team on Tuesday, November 12.

My analysis
Identity is a word used in hockey quite often, and when it comes to playing to an identity, there isn’t a team that does it better than the Florida Panthers.

Their winning streak is not a fluke by any means. The Panthers do such an incredible job at frustrating their opponents, and that can be expected again tonight. During this streak, Florida has scored the second most goals per game (4.71) and boasts the league’s fourth-best power play percentage (30.4%).

The New Jersey Devils have had a good start to their season but have really struggled to find consistency under Sheldon Keefe. They have plenty of offensive firepower with guys like Jack Hughes and Jesper Bratt, but my concern is their puck management against a team like Florida. The Panthers will cause New Jersey to turn the puck over and then attack on offense.

Over his last five starts, Sergei Bobrovsky is boasting a record of 5-0-0 with a .917 SV% and a 2.36 GAA. Bobrovsky has been tough to beat, especially on the power play. Florida’s penalty kill is at 87.5% during the win streak, while the Devils have only scored on two of their last 11 power play attempts.

All signs point to a dominant win for the Cats.

Devils vs Panthers same-game parlay (SGP)

Sam Reinhart 3+ shots

Jesper Bratt 3+ shots

Florida Panthers moneyline

Sam Reinhart leads the Panthers with 23 points in 15 games (11 goals, 12 assists). Reinhart only has one shot on goal in his last two games combined, but in the three games prior to those two, he had four shots in each.

He’s been a little too quiet in these last two games, and I don’t see that happening again.

Jesper Bratt is such a fun player to watch, but last game you could sense the frustration. He put up eight shots on goal in the team's most recent contest but wasn’t able to find the back of the net. Bratt is averaging 2.89 shots per game and has hit this number with ease throughout the early parts of the season.
