We have five games on the NHL betting slate tonight, including a cross-conference clash between the Vegas Golden Knights and the Toronto Maple Leafs at T-Mobile Arena.

The Buds have been red-hot on the road, and the power play is a big reason for the success. With Vegas struggling on its penalty kill this season, my Maple Leafs vs. Vegas Golden Knights predictions are targeting Mitch Marner to find the scoresheet.

My Leafs pick
Mitch Marner Over 0.5 power play points (+240 at Sports Interaction)

My Leafs analysis
The Toronto Maple Leafs have been a Jekyll and Hyde team this year. They’ve been the league's best group on the road since mid-December, yet have struggled to maintain a .500 record on home ice in that same stretch.

Luckily, the Buds head back out onto the road again tonight, and their first stop on this four-game west coast trip is taking on the Vegas Golden Knights.

Although Vegas has a strong home record, the Leafs own a 13-3 road record over their last 16 games, averaging a league-high 4.06 goals per game in that stretch. The Leafs' power play has been on fire since January 15th, cashing in on 33.9% of their opportunities and scoring 10 times in their last 10 outings. Toronto’s PP ranks 6th in high-danger chances, boasting a league-high 7.94 high-danger goals in that stretch.

Mitch Marner leads the Maple Leafs with 26 power-play points this season, including 14 total points in 11 games played against the Golden Knights in his career. The Leafs won the earlier meeting against Vegas this year back on November 20, striking on the power play with Marner getting a primary assist on the goal.

I expect the Buds' star winger to make his mark on the man-advantage once again tonight.

Maple Leafs vs Golden Knights same-game parlay (SGP)

Mitch Marner 2+ shots

Auston Matthews anytime goal

Auston Mathews 3+ shots

Along with Marner making his park on the PP, I'm taking the star forward to record 2+ shots on goal. He’s averaging 2.23 shots per game this season.

Meanwhile, Auston Matthews has scored nine times against the Golden Knights in just 11 games, including five goals in his last four meetings vs. Vegas. The Leafs' captain is also a threat to score on the power play, which faces off against the 20th-ranked PK in the NHL.

For the final leg of our SGP, we’ll continue with the Matthews theme and take him to record 3+ shots on goal. He’s averaging 4.02 shots per game and has hit this mark in nine of his last 10 games against Vegas.
