The Nashville Predators made a few big moves in the offseason but they’ve been slow out of the gate this season. The Seattle Kraken have also had their fair share of struggles, with a 9-9-1 record to this point.

My Predators vs. Kraken picks expect those offensive struggles to continue in my best NHL picks for Wednesday, November 20.

My analysis
The Nashville Predators and Seattle Kraken have been two of the most profitable Under teams this season. Nashville has gone Under the total in 12 of its 19 games, with Seattle doing so 11 times in 19 contests.

Nashville added some firepower in the offseason in the form of Steven Stamkos and Jonathan Marchessault up front, along with Brady Skjei on the backend. Still, the Predators have yet to see promising results. They’re on the fifth game of a long road trip and scored just four goals in the first three games before breaking out with five goals in Vancouver.

Seattle had a slower start to the season but won four straight games prior to dropping a 2-0 decision to the Rangers on Sunday. Still, the Kraken have done well to not only limit goals against but shots against with five goals allowed on 66 shots in the last three games.

Both teams have had a few days off, so it should be a battle between the two starting goalies, Juuse Saros (2.55 GAA, .914 SV%) and Joey Daccord (2.51 GAA, .918 SV%). Neither team generates much offense, with Seattle’s 2.21 xGF/60 ranking sixth-worst in the league while Nashville is 10th-lowest at 2.40.

Predators vs Kraken same-game parlay (SGP)

Under 5.5

Jonathan Marchessault 3+ shots

Jaden Schwartz 3+ shots

The Predators have moved Jonathan Marchessault around in the lineup to try to get him going, and the winger hasn’t had a problem firing pucks on net. He's logged 3+ shots in 14 of 19 games this season, including four of his last five contests.

Jaden Schwartz has also been shooting the puck for the Kraken. After just 16 shots on goal in his first 13 games, he’s gone Over 2.5 in six straight contests for a total of 21 shots over that span.
