The Minnesota Wild and Vegas Golden Knights will both be looking for their third straight win on Monday night at T-Mobile Arena. The NHL odds board has the Golden Knights as home favorites against the visiting Wild.
Minnesota has come out of the All-Star break with two close victories: 2-1 in Chicago and 3-2 at home against the Penguins. Vegas has also won two lower-scoring games, first ending the Oilers’ winning streak before going into Arizona and taking down the Coyotes 3-2.
This will be the first meeting of the season, but Vegas swept the season series last year while outscoring Minnesota 13-5.
Which team will extend their winning streak to three games? Read on for our Wild vs. Golden Knights NHL picks and predictions on Monday, February 12.

Wild vs Golden Knights predictions
The Vegas Golden Knights haven’t shown signs of a Stanley Cup hangover after winning it all last season. Despite some injuries throughout the lineup, Vegas is near the top of the Western Conference at 31-15-6, including an impressive 19-5-2 mark at home.
Meanwhile, the Minnesota Wild are still trying to find themselves after going through a coaching change earlier this season. They’re at 23-23-5 on the season and just 10-12-2 on the road.
The Wild are coming off a big win in a special game, though. They took down the Penguins 3-2 on the night they honored former Pittsburgh goalie Marc-Andre Fleury, who made 32 saves to beat his former team.
The Wild are going to have to battle pretty hard if they want to get two points in Vegas, though.
The Golden Knights have one of the best home-ice advantages in the league. They’re 19-5-2 at home (.769 point percentage) and have won four straight at home.
That should continue tonight against a Minnesota team that hasn’t been too impressive this season. Yes, the Wild have won two in a row, but they barely scratched out a 2-1 win over the lowly Blackhawks as -200 favorites before putting everything on the line to hold on against the Penguins.
On the season, the Wild have the 13th-worst expected goals-for percentage (49.56%) and 46.60% (seventh worst) over the last 10 games, per Natural Stat Trick.
My best bet: Golden Knights moneyline (-142 at DraftKings)
Wild vs Golden Knights same-game parlay
The return of goaltender Adin Hill is an important one for Vegas. The netminder took over in the crease for last year’s playoff run and is playing up to that level again this season.
Hill is 14-2-2 on the season with a sparkling 1.89 GAA and .937 SV%. He’s a perfect 4-0-0 with just seven goals allowed on 133 shots (.947 SV%) since returning from injury.
Hill has the potential to enter the Vezina Trophy conversation if he keeps up this rate. He may have missed too many games, but a GAA under 2.00 and a save percentage near .940 should at least get him some consideration.
The Golden Knights have been great at home (19-5-2) and Hill shouldn’t allow more than a goal or two. This has all the makings of a classic 3-1 or 3-2 Vegas victory.

Wild vs Golden Knights moneyline and Over/Under analysis
The Golden Knights odds are fairly consistent across the board between -142 (DraftKings) and -150 (betPARX). The same goes for the Wild as road underdogs between +120 (DraftKings) and +123 (betPARX).
We could see this line move if Hill doesn’t start for the Golden Knights, but they didn’t play yesterday and are off tomorrow as well so it should be the starter tonight.
The total is set at 5.5 almost everywhere across the board. You can get Over 5.5 (-120) at BetMGM and Under 5.5 (+104) at FanDuel. I wouldn’t be opposed to paying up a bit for Under 6 (-125) in case of a 4-2 final with an empty-net goal or the like.
