My analysis
The Los Angeles Dodgers and Arizona Diamondbacks are two of the most profitable Over teams in baseball this season. The Over is 75-56-5 for Arizona and 71-61-3 for Los Angeles.
Those trends pick up even more when these two teams play each other. The first two games of this series had 19 and 14 runs, marking the fifth straight meeting with at least 11 total runs. Dating back to May 20, seven of the eight matchups have gone Over 9.5 runs, but it’s not just the trends we’re betting on here.
The Dodgers are expected to start Justin Wrobleski on Sunday afternoon. The young left-hander is 1-1 with 13 earned runs in 25 innings (4.68 ERA) in five starts this season. He’s allowed multiple runs in all but one of his outings and most recently allowed four runs in five innings against the Cardinals two weeks ago.
Wrobleski doesn’t exactly have a great track record either. Despite some success at Double-A Tulsa this year (5-2, 3.06 ERA), he's 0-2 with a 5.26 ERA in five starts at Triple-A.
Diamondbacks starter Brandon Pfaadt has also been hit or miss this season and it appears he’s wearing down a bit. After going 4-6 with a 3.74 ERA in his first 20 starts, the right-hander has a 6.29 ERA (24 ER in 34 1/3 IP) in his last six starts since July 27. Funny enough, he's picked up four wins despite that.
Both bullpens are pretty gassed, as well. The Dodgers used seven pitchers on Friday after Clayton Kershaw left early with an injury, and their pen had to cover four innings on Saturday, too. Arizona’s bullpen has also been used up with 8 1/3 IP over the last two games.

My analysis
Shohei Ohtani continues to show why he’s one of the best players in the world. He homered for the second straight game last night while driving in two runs. He now has 44 home runs, 107 runs scored, and 98 RBI on the season. He can hit this line in any number of ways as he’s shown throughout the season.

Corbin Carroll leads off for the Diamondbacks and has turned it on after a slow start. He scored his 99th run of the season last night despite scoring just 26 runs through the end of May. Since then, however, he scored 21 runs in June, 22 in July, and 30 in August.
Ohtani has great numbers off Pfaadt (albeit in a small sample size) and is a threat every time he steps up to the plate. He’s gone Over 1.5 TB in 56% of games this season, including six of his last eight.
