Few things are more reliable than doubting the Chicago White Sox this season. One of those things are the Minnesota Twins’ bats.

Twins vs White Sox prediction
My best bet
Twins team total Over 5.5 (+104 at FanDuel)
My analysis
By just about any batting criteria, the Minnesota Twins rank in the Top 5 across the league. A pertinent example is their No. 3-rank in slugging percentage at .431, trailing only the Orioles and Dodgers.
By just about any pitching criteria, the Chicago White Sox rank in the Bottom 5 across the league. A pertinent example is their second-worst WHIP at 1.372, better than only the Rockies.
Sometimes things can be that simple. Minnesota has cleared this run total in 14 of their 26 games in the last month, with another five falling short by only the hook.
Chicago starter Chris Flexen owns a 4.85 ERA over his last five starts, averaging less than 5 1/3 innings while giving up a 1.50 WHIP in this stretch. This is the wrong offense to suffer that sloppiness against.
Furthermore, the White Sox lack enough shutdown relief to step in when Flexen is inevitably run early from this game. Of the six relievers to throw at least 10 innings in the last month, only two have ERAs lower than 3.00.
John Brebbia enjoys a 1.46 ERA in 12 1/3 innings in the last month, but he has thrown in two of the last three days. There is a decent chance he will not be available tonight. That would leave Michael Soroka, but after throwing three innings and 61 pitches just two days ago, he almost assuredly is not available tonight.
And that leaves only worries in the Chicago bullpen, worries that are likely to become realities given Flexen has not pitched more than six innings in a game since his second start of the season.
Twins vs White Sox same-game parlay (SGP)
These AL Central rivals played seven times by the end of May Day, with the Twins winning all seven with four of those coming by multiple runs. Two of those featured Flexen on the mound, giving up a 3.68 ERA in the 7 1/3 innings he worked.
There may be some worry about backing Carlos Correa the day after he took a pitch to the hand, but the star shortstop was adamant yesterday, “I will be playing tomorrow.”
He was hit in the wrist just a week ago. He happened to hit a home run the next night.
