My analysis
The Dubs return home winners of three straight, and just a single loss during their 5-game trip. The Golden State Warriors wrapped up the swing with a 121-119 comeback win over the Brooklyn Nets, in a game they found themselves trailing 27-5 out of the gate.

But these Warriors are different – especially with Jimmy Butler inserted into the lineup. Golden State has rolled to 10 wins in the 11 games he has been on the floor. His presence has unlocked the old Steph Curry, who lit opponents on fire on the trip, averaging 34.8 points and drilling an absurd 32-of-62 triples.

The Detroit Pistons are looking to bounce back from a loss against the Clippers, dropping a 123-115 decision Wednesday night. The Pistons got caught by a James Harden 50-bomb, and even Cade Cunningham’s 37 points, 10 assists and seven rebounds wasn’t enough to lift them to victory.

Still, Detroit has been streaking, and they’re right up there with the Warriors in most statistical categories over the last dozen. The Pistons are the third-highest scoring team over that stretch, averaging a healthy 123 points per game, shooting 51.1% from the floor and 36.7% from 3-point range.

Not far behind them are the Warriors, who sit sixth, putting up an impressive 120.8 points, shooting 46.5% from the field. They also lead the league in assists at 31.6 and rank second in steals at 10 per contest.

Both teams are inside the Top 6 in scoring defense as well, but we’re talking about high-octane offenses going head-to-head, so it wouldn’t be surprising that that goes out the window.

I think Golden State with Butler finds a way to win, but that line is just thin enough that it’s risky to take them to cover. The Warriors have seen the Over cash in four of their last six, while the Pistons have gone over the total in three of their last four.

Curry only hit 2-of-14 from deep in the Warriors 107-104 win over Detroit in their only meeting of the season, but he’s hit at least five triples in four of his last eight against the Pistons.

Budding star Cade Cunningham is also a fun watch. The likely Most Improved Player this season, Cade has topped his 24.5 scoring line in five of his last eight games.

He also lit Golden State on fire in their January 9 meeting, pouring in 32, with eight rebounds and six assists. Cunningham shouldn’t have a problem going off again in San Francisco.
