Bengals vs Chargers picks

Bengals vs Chargers expert picks & predictions

Pick: Gus Edwards anytime touchdown (+260 at bet365)

Even though Gus Edwards was limited at Los Angeles Chargers practice this week, that was more to give him some rest after missing several games this year with an ankle injury and not because he re-aggravated it.

Josh Inglis isn't deterred in the slightest and will gladly hop aboard the Gus Bus on Sunday Night Football.

"His role could (involve) more goal-line work as he took four of his 10 carries last week in the red zone and although he didn’t score, Sunday night could be a different story. The Chargers had the lowest neutral pass rate of all teams in Week 10 at 41% and get to run all over the Cincinnati Bengals who are a bottom-five run defense and also rank dead last in opponent neutral pass rate. Justin Herbert needed only 24 dropbacks last week and the Chargers' run game is going to be on display in Week 11."

Edwards will get the ball often, leading to various markets where he could pay off, but Josh is partial to the anytime TD bet.

"I love his Over 29.5 rushing yards but getting the likely goal-line back in an offense that is projected to score 24 points at +260 is a Sunday night bargain. Dobbins is averaging just 3.5 yards per carry since Week 3 and the oft-injured smaller back could be wearing down in the late schedule."

Bengals vs Chargers prop pick

Pick: Justin Herbert Over 237.5 passing yards (-110 at bet365)

Rohit Ponnaiya also likes an Edwards prop — Over 30.5 rushing yards (-120) — as part of his Bengals vs. Chargers props, but he is also bullish on L.A. QB Justin Herbert airing it out in front of the Chargers faithful.

"Although Herbert threw for just 164 yards last week, that was largely due to the game script and he was extremely efficient averaging 9.1 yards per attempt with a season-high QBR of 84.8. Prior to that start, the Chargers QB had thrown for more than 275 yards in each of his previous three games while averaging 9.3 yards per attempt over that span."

A big reason for Rohit's optimism is the Cincinnati Bengals pass defense.

"Herbert is now set to face a Bengals stop unit that is 26th in the league in defensive dropback EPA and is coming off surrendering 290 passing yards against Lamar Jackson."

Joe Burrow prop pick

Pick: Joe Burrow Over 1.5 passing touchdowns (-145 at bet365)

Our analysts have been beating up on the Bengals' defense so far — with good reason — but Ryan Gilbert reminds us that Joe Burrow is still a world-class quarterback in his Joe Burrow odds spotlight.

"Joe Burrow is on a tear right now, with nine touchdowns in his last two games. This came after being held to just three touchdowns in the previous three weeks."

The Chargers don't allow a ton of scores through the air, but they also haven't been tested by too many A-list passers, which Joe Cool certainly is.

"The Bengals are putting the ball in Burrow’s hands and he should stay hot here on Sunday Night Football with at least two passing touchdowns."

Bengals vs Chargers SNF same-game parlay

Gus Edwards anytime TD

Chargers TT Over 23.5

Ja'Marr Chase 75+ receiving yards

In addition to — and in correlation with — buying a bus ticket, Josh is eyeing the Chargers to score at least 24 points. The Bengals can't stop anyone through the air, so it shouldn't be too hard to clear that number.

But he doesn't necessarily think Cincinnati's offense, Ja'Marr Chase in particular, will be silenced.

"Chase is coming off a monster Week 10 with 264 receiving yards but with the return of Tee Higgins, I'm not expecting crazy numbers, but his efficiency should be great. His yardage total is set at 74.5 yards and some likely negative game script should help.  "
