Hurricanes vs Golden Knights Prediction, Picks & Odds for Tonight’s NHL Game

T-Mobile Arena offers one of the best home environments in hockey, and the Golden Knights have ridden it to an 8-0 start in their own barn. They have no business being underdogs, even vs. the Hurricanes, as Jonny Lazarus explains.

The Carolina Hurricanes and Vegas Golden Knights are set to clash for the first time this season in what could potentially be a Stanley Cup Final preview.

The Hurricanes are on the road for this contest, yet they’re still favored to win. Is Vegas being overlooked?

Find out why my best Hurricanes vs. Golden Knights predictions and NHL picks for Monday, November 11 favor the home team.

My analysis

Despite losing their most recent game, the Carolina Hurricanes have been playing some outstanding hockey. However, the Vegas Golden Knights happen to be a perfect 8-0-0 this season at T-Mobile Arena. For some reason, the Golden Knights are underdogs at home tonight, which makes me feel like my hands are tied in this pick.

Vegas has outscored their opponents by a lopsided 43-19 mark at home to start the year, and their power play has clicked at an astounding 35%. Losing Mark Stone to a day-to-day injury will be an adjustment for the Golden Knights top line, which has Jack Eichel and Ivan Barbashev on it, but Nicolas Roy should be able to keep up alongside those two.

Carolina has been solid on the road this season (5-2-0), but this feels like a game that they shouldn’t be favored in.

Pyotr Kochetkov is the expected starter for the Hurricanes tonight and his numbers have not been all that impressive as he skates to a .896 SV% with a 2.51 GAA. Adin Hill’s numbers aren’t much better for Vegas, but I have more faith in him at home.

Hurricanes vs Golden Knights same-game parlay (SGP)

Golden Knights team total Over 2.5 goals

Martin Necas 3+ shots on goal

Over 1.5 1P

The Golden Knights are the second-highest scoring team in the NHL, averaging 4.36 goals per game, and have scored 43 goals in just eight home games. They should have no issue scoring three goals tonight in victory.

Martin Necas has been on an absolute tear over his last nine games for the Hurricanes. Necas currently rides a nine-game point streak (nine goals, 13 assists) and he’s been driving their offense. Necas has had a minimum of three shots on goal in 50% of his last 10 outings, and in a game like this, they’ll need him to step up even more.

The Golden Knights and Hurricanes are both averaging at least a goal in the first period, so we should see some high-flying offense right from the opening faceoff.
