You are by far one of the best posters on this website. Always a detailed write up with your play.
Good luck with your play! I'll be cheering for Germany (as I am a huge fan)

Pepe is a fitness concern - and even with him Portugal has struggled on defense at times - without him they will be a mess. Wales to win in 90 +335 (1 unit) Wales +.5 -123 (2 units) Wales to advance +170 (1 unit) GL all I think, as you said, the loss of Ramsay is a significant blow to the Wales team. You still think they are the better team to pull it off or is this more of a value play because Portugal should not be this huge of a favourite.

It is a mistake for me to be involved in a game like this. Last week - Denver covered against Baltimore - and I felt great about being on Balt because I think if they played 10 more times I would bet Balt +4.5 in every one of them. One thing I always do after a game is ask the question "what would the line be if there were a rematch in a week?" Do you think KC would be-3 again? No way. And I wouldnt bet them - or Denver for that matter. I consider betting a game like last nights game a failure - even if I win. My goal is to be on sides that are more than a 45-55% winner. So if it comes down to the last few plays - sure I want to win - and am happy when I do - but dont kid yourself - those are games that good handicappers avoid and target to stay away from. So if I allow myself to dwelll on the last 2 minutes of that game I vomit in my mouth - but KC had no real business covering in the first place. If KC would have won by 7, that would have been really lucky. If you bet on a game that it feels lucky to win or unlucky to lose - you have usually failed as a handicapper. Great post Van!! I was on KC as well and they were absolutely not the right call.

I wouldn't be able to add any more information that hasn't already been stated by other cappers on this website. I just wanted to bring to light that the Seahawks players are intentionally trying to taunt the NFL and it's policies and since the refs work for the NFL look for a few calls to go against them. |

Many great posters have already made great arguments in favour of the 49ers this Thursday (Look at Beginnerboys and LC's thread). I just wanted to add in a new angle on this discussion. By now, I'm sure most of you have seen the video of Richard Sherman and a cut-out of Doug Baldwin making a mockery of the NFL's stance on players talking to the media. If not here's a link to the video, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tLbv4_TpsL8 Although I agree with most of their comments and found it quite humorous. I'm sure Roger Goodell won't find it as knee slapping as most of us did. Add in the fact that Lynch responded to virtually every query with a one-word response "yes". And this video has been played many times on the nfl network and espn. The NFL's policies are being made a joke of and although I agree with the notion if players don't want to talk to the media, they shouldn't be forced to but knowing Goodell and his stubborn ways I'm sure he doesn't like his system being made a mockery of. Look for the Seahawks to get a few flags and calls go against them this week as Goodell tries to make a statement against those who try to defy him. The pick - 49ers PK. BOL on this week's selections. |

Hey Earthwake, how do you feel the dolphins will fare in the cold weather. Chance of snow as well. I know Peyton is notoriously bad in cold weather, how do you think the dolphins hold up?
