Argonauts 36, Blue Bombers 21: Ricky Ray completed 39-of-45 passes for 505 yards and three touchdowns as host Toronto clinched first place in the East Division for the first time since 2007.
Ray, who recorded the first 500-yard game of his career, made two scoring tosses to Romby Bryant and another to Dontrelle Inman for the Argonauts (11-6), who swept Winnipeg in their three-game season series. Chad Owens caught 11 passes for 105 yards and running back Chad Kackert recorded 134 yards from scrimmage.
Max Hall was 17-of-32 for 257 yards and two touchdowns for the Blue Bombers (3-14), who finished the road portion of their schedule with a 2-7 record. Wallace Miles and Rory Kohlert made scoring receptions while Will Ford was limited to 32 yards on nine carries.
Ray found Inman for a 69-yard TD with 2:44 remaining in the contest to give Toronto some breathing room after a pair of fumbles by Argonaut receivers in the red zone kept Winnipeg in the game. Swayze Waters made 4-of-4 field goals, including kicks of 42 and 20 yards to extend the lead in the third quarter.
Ray was 21-of-22 in the first half, connecting seven times with Owens to help stake Toronto to a 21-17 lead at halftime. The game was an undisciplined affair, with 26 penalties called for 234 yards - 139 belonging to the Argonauts.
