After the teams traded touchdowns to open the game, DeMarco found a wide-open Nick Moore for a 25-yard touchdown strike midway through the opening quarter to put the Lions in front for good. Dante Marsh padded the lead with an 80-yard interception return for a score and Cord Parks gave the Lions a third defensive touchdown with a 45-yard fumble return TD late in the first half and as BC cruised to a 33-14 advantage at the break.
DeMarco called his own number on a 1-yard scoring run following another Winnipeg turnover early in the second half, and Harris added a 17-yard touchdown scamper amid a chorus of boos late in the third quarter. Paul McCallum capped the onslaught with a pair of fourth-quarter field goals.
