Lions 26, Blue Bombers 9: Kevin Glenn threw for 261 yards and two touchdowns as host BC stifled Winnipeg.
Glenn finished 20-for-27, finding Andrew Harris and Emmanuel Arceneaux for touchdowns for the Lions (7-4), who avenged a Week 5 loss to the Blue Bombers. Harris finished with 140 yards from scrimmage, while Alex Bazzie, Jabar Westerman and Khalif Mitchell recorded sacks.
Winnipeg's Drew Willy completed 10-of-15 passes for 88 yards and added 28 rushing yards but left late in the first half with an upper-body injury and was replaced by Brian Brohm, who was 6-of-13 for 33 yards. Desia Dunn, Jake Thomas and Teague Sherman recorded sacks for the Blue Bombers (6-6), who suffered their fifth loss in six games.
The Lions began to pull away with 45 seconds remaining in the first half when Glenn found Harris for a 4-yard touchdown to give BC a 15-3 lead. A 30-yard touchdown toss from Glenn to Arceneaux finished the scoring with 3:10 remaining.
The Lions defence limited Winnipeg to 57 rushing yards and 121 passing yards. All of the Blue Bombers’ points came from kicker Lirim Hajrullahu, who kicked field goals of 17, 42 and 49 yards.
GAME NOTEBOOK: BC will visit Winnipeg for the decisive third game of their season-series in Week 18. … The Lions have not recorded a turnover in four games. … Winnipeg has allowed at least 100 rushing yards in each of its last five losses.
