Eskimos 24, Roughriders 0: John White rushed for 192 yards and scored two touchdowns in his return to the lineup as host Edmonton blanked Saskatchewan.
Mike Reilly was 14-for-25 passing for 124 yards and a touchdown and added 106 rushing yards for the Eskimos (9-4), who pulled even with the Roughriders for second place in the West Division. Dexter McCoil, Odell Willis, Cameron Sheffield, Cedric McKinley and Gregory Alexandre all recorded sacks, while Ryan Hinds and Aaron Grimes each had an interception.
Tino Sunseri was pulled in the third quarter after completing 6-of-12 passes for 53 yards and one interception, but third-stringer Seth Doege wasn't much better for Saskatchewan (9-4), going 5-for-10 for 61 yards and an interception. Hilee Taylor and David Lee each had a sack.
White made the Roughriders pay after they turned the ball over on downs early in the first quarter, scoring on a 36-yard run 3:04 into the contest. White recorded a 60-yard rush in the second quarter, while a field goal, a pair of singles and a safety gave Edmonton a 14-0 lead at halftime.
Doege replaced Sunseri with 6:02 remaining in the third quarter but it wasn't enough to spark Saskatchewan’s offence, which generated 11 total yards in the first quarter. White caught a 10-yard touchdown toss from Reilly with 52 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter to seal the victory.
