Stampeders 33, Blue Bombers 23: Bo Levi Mitchell threw for 258 yards and two touchdowns as visiting Calgary downed Winnipeg to clinch the West Division title.

Jon Cornish ran for 160 yards and one touchdown while Drew Tate also added a rushing score for the Stampeders (13-2), who overcame 11 penalties for 92 yards. Brad Sinopoli and Joe West each caught touchdown passes for Calgary, which won its third consecutive game and improved to a league-best 7-1 on the road.

Brian Brohm, who was making his first career CFL start, completed 14-of-23 passes for 194 yards before leaving the game in the third quarter with a thumb injury for the Blue Bombers (6-10). Paris Cotton ran for 108 yards and two touchdowns while Robert Marve accounted for 100 total yards in relief of Brohm for Winnipeg, which has lost seven consecutive games.

The Stampeders jumped out to a 14-0 lead when Mitchell threw a 25-yard touchdown pass to Sinopoli and a 51-yard scoring strike to West. Lirim Hajrullahu kicked two consecutive field goals to cut the deficit to nine and the Blue Bombers went into the break trailing 16-6.

Calgary extended its advantage when Tate plunged into the end zone from 1 yard out before Winnipeg closed the gap to 23-16 after Cotton's 35-yard touchdown run. The Blue Bombers pulled within three after Cotton's 10-yard TD scamper before the Stampeders sealed the win with Cornish's 9-yard run late in the fourth quarter.
